Acer Aspire 4920

Received an acer laptop yesterday. But the problem is, the DVD-ROM is faulty. Client wants me to reformat the harddisk. How can I achieved that without having to replace the faulty DVD-ROM?

But, with some experience and knowledge, I’ve managed to format, re-install it with winXP and all the necessary drivers. Plus installing some media application including Kaspersky Internet Security 30 day trial. System in stabilization’s is good.

A Story: Cheap service, cheap results

Recently, a neighbour of mine came to me and asked for my help with her computer. Shes in her mid-50’s and very concern when it comes to things that involves money.

Ok, back to her PC, she mention that her PC can’t be access because of an error, which she claims that she needs a windows CD so she can access back her computer.

I turn on her computer, and I found out that her O/S is asking for an activation, which was not done by who ever she paid to get her PC fix. (her PC got a problem with RAM before).

Ok, I help a with the WGA issues and once I got into the system, there you go, you got what you paid for, just an Operating System with no drivers install. No updates and .. none! Just plain basic Operating System.
